The ugly quilt

Who says I can not make an ugly quilt.  Cousin katlin wants the ugliest quilt she can wrap her body in.   Today I have company, Kinky loves spending time in my sewing room.    We often fight over my chair when I get up to iron he steals my seat.   

 

I Picked some   ugly orphan blocks.   These floral units are awesome and I bought them in Alaska Many years ago.  Well traveled blocks and well made.   

I did some chain sewing.  

Then I stitched them to the center

Still working out of my stash of blocks from other projects.

Drawer two.   There are lots of blocks stash here.  There is no end to the blocks.   Lol

Another year that Bonnie Hunter of quiltville.com has designed a pretty quilt for thousands of quilters.   I'm making two quilts out of the 25 blocks. One quilt going to a young woman who is dating great nephew Anthony McDonald.    The backing fabric is sweet with kitties and  black piece has arrows on it.  I enjoyed my GO cutter cutting the outer borders and pink binding.
